Yes! Aqua Line (Line 3) is fully operational since October 8, 2025. It is Mumbai's first completely underground metro, spanning 33.5 km with 27 stations from Cuffe Parade to Aarey JVLR. It passes through CSMT, Churchgate, Mumbai Central, Dadar, BKC, Dharavi, SEEPZ, MIDC, and both CSMIA airport terminals (T1 and T2). Operated by DMRC for 10 years.

Line 1 (Blue): 5:30 AM to 11:50 PM. Lines 2A (Yellow) and 7 (Red): 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM. Line 3 (Aqua): 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM (8:30 AM on Sundays). Peak hour frequency: 5–7 minutes. Off-peak: 10–15 minutes. All lines run on Sundays and public holidays.

Blue Line (Line 1): ₹10 to ₹40. Yellow & Red Lines (2A, 7): ₹10 to ₹50. Aqua Line (Line 3): ₹10 to ₹80. Return journey minimum: ₹20. Mumbai1 Card (NCMC) gives smart card discounts. Children below 3: Free. Children 3–12 years: 50% fare. Unused tokens can be refunded before journey starts.

Take the Aqua Line (Line 3) to CSMIA Terminal 1 or CSMIA Terminal 2 stations — Mumbai now has direct underground metro connectivity to both airport terminals. This eliminated the need for autos and taxis from the nearest station. Aqua Line also has a Sahar Road station near the international terminal area.

Dadar station is on the Aqua Line (Line 3). It is an underground station with exits near both Dadar (Central Railway) and Dadar (Western Railway), making it one of the most important multimodal hubs in Mumbai. Perfect for connection to local trains heading to the suburbs.

Mumbai1 Card is a National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) valid on all Mumbai Metro lines (Blue, Yellow, Red, Aqua). Recharge via: station counters, MetroConnect3 app, Paytm, PhonePe, or UPI. Min recharge: ₹100, max ₹3,000. Cashback available on store value recharges (2–8% based on amount).

Take the Blue Line (Line 1) from Ghatkopar directly to Versova. No interchange needed. Journey covers 11 stops and takes approximately 21–25 minutes. Fare: ₹40 (token) — Blue Line maximum fare.

For Andheri (West): Take the Yellow Line (2A) to DN Nagar or Andheri (West) station. For Andheri (East): Take the Red Line (7) towards Gundavali and alight at Gundavali, or change to Blue Line at WEH for Andheri station on the Blue Line.

Interchange at DN Nagar station — it is on both the Blue Line (Line 1) and Yellow Line (Line 2A). Alight at DN Nagar on one line and board the other line from the same station.

Interchange at Western Express Highway (WEH) station — it is on both the Blue Line (Line 1) and Red Line (Line 7). Simply alight and cross platforms within the station.

Interchange at Marol Naka station — it is on both the Blue Line (Line 1, elevated) and Aqua Line (Line 3, underground). Follow interchange signs inside the station.

Under construction: Green Line 4 (Wadala–Kasarvadavali, 32.5 km), Line 5 (Thane–Bhiwandi–Kalyan), Pink Line 6 (Swami Samarth Nagar–Vikhroli), Line 7A (Red Line extension to CSIA T2), Line 9 (Dahisar–Mira Bhayandar). Trial runs for Line 9 already started. Mumbai's 16-line, 523 km master plan targets completion by 2030.

Yes, every Mumbai Metro train has one coach reserved exclusively for women. It is clearly marked on the platform and inside the train. Male passengers found in the ladies coach are subject to a fine.

Passengers can carry one bag weighing up to 15 kg with dimensions not exceeding 60 cm × 45 cm × 25 cm. All bags are screened at security checkpoints. Photography and videography inside stations and trains are prohibited for security reasons. Sealed liquor bottles are permitted but consumption is strictly banned.

Yes. Eating, drinking, and smoking are strictly prohibited inside metro trains and on station platforms to maintain cleanliness. Sealed liquor bottles may be carried but not consumed. Violations are punishable by fines.
